The new version includes minor changes to the form and instructions.<\/p>\n<p>The Form I-9 is used to verify new hires\u2019 identity and employment authorization to work in the United States.<\/p>\n<p>Employers can continue using the prior version (expiration date of 08\/31\/2019 shown in the upper-right corner) until April 30, 2020.
