{"id":3475,"date":"2021-06-11T11:34:31","date_gmt":"2021-06-11T16:34:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.employco.com\/blog\/?p=3475"},"modified":"2021-06-11T11:34:31","modified_gmt":"2021-06-11T16:34:31","slug":"hr-newsletter-eeoc-issues-new-faqs-on-vaccines-and-incentives","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.employco.com\/blog\/2021\/06\/11\/hr-newsletter-eeoc-issues-new-faqs-on-vaccines-and-incentives\/","title":{"rendered":"HR Newsletter: EEOC Issues New FAQs on Vaccines and Incentives"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/www.employco.com\/images\/newsletter\/HR\/Blog\/March2021_EEOC.jpg\" alt=\"EEOC\" width=\"1200\" height=\"545\" \/><\/p>\n<p>On May 28, 2021, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) added new <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eeoc.gov\/wysk\/what-you-should-know-about-covid-19-and-ada-rehabilitation-act-and-other-eeo-laws\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">answers to frequently asked questions<\/a> (FAQs) to its existing guidance on how employers should comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) while also observing all applicable emergency workplace safety guidelines during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. The agency also updated five of the FAQs from the existing guidance.<\/p>\n<p>The new and updated FAQs clarify the types of programs employers may have to help ensure that their employees receive COVID-19 vaccinations. They also address the extent to which employers may require or provide incentives for employees or employees\u2019 family members to receive vaccines.
