And 41% of workers worldwide say that they are considering quitting their current posts and finding a new job or a new industry altogether.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.prnewswire.com\/news-releases\/companies-are-underestimating-the-employee-turnover-threat-says-new-zeno-group-study-301337821.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Employee turnover<\/a> is at a record high right now. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.entrepreneur.com\/article\/379886\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">\u2018Great Resignation\u2019<\/a> has left companies scrambling to find staff, with many workers rebelling against the prototypical 9-to-5 work model,\u201d says Rob Wilson, President of Employco USA and employee trends expert. \u201cThe pandemic gave many people a taste of a different schedule and a different way of structuring their lives. Now that it\u2019s time to return to a new version of the old normal, many workers just aren\u2019t interested.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Wilson says that employers need to be cognizant of the fact that COVID has irrevocably changed the way many people look at their work\/life balance.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>\u201cA significant number of employees are unwilling to return to the status quo established pre-pandemic,\u201d says the HR expert. \u201cWorkplace stressors\u2014 worsened by the pandemic\u2014are partly to blame. Additionally, dissatisfaction with compensation, benefits, and work-life balance are top reasons why employees are job hunting.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>What can employers do to help prevent burnout and safeguard against turnover?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo stay ahead of these trends, employers will need to look inward toward their unique employee populations and determine what\u2019s important to them,\u201d says Wilson. \u201cThis inquiry may include surveying employees to learn about what they are looking for. The most accurate approach may include managers directly asking employees about their current mindsets, which workplace factors are most important to them, and for any other feedback.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>To help meet the demands of an evolving workforce, Wilson says that employers must think outside the box.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCompanies that provide remote or hybrid working arrangements are going to attract top talent,\u201d says Wilson. \u201cIf you aren\u2019t offering flexible scheduling options, you\u2019ve already dropped several tiers in desirability.
