In a press release, the DOL said it published the new guidance in recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.employco.com\/PDFs\/June2022_DOL-New-Guidance.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.employco.com\/images\/newsletter\/HR\/Blog\/June2022_DOL-New-Guidance-PDF.jpg\" alt=\"DOL Issues Guidance on FMLA and Mental Health Conditions\" width=\"300\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.employco.com\/PDFs\/June2022_EEOC-Extends-Deadline.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">EEOC Extends EEO-1 Deadline for 2021 Workforce Data Reports<\/a> &#8211; Employers subject to equal employment opportunity reporting (EEO-1) requirements now have extra time to file their workforce data from 2021, the EEOC announced shortly after the original May 17, 2022, deadline passed. That initial deadline had already been delayed from the usual March 31 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The new deadline for 2021 submissions is June 21, 2022. According to the EEOC, no additional 2021 EEO-1 reports will be accepted after that date.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.employco.com\/PDFs\/June2022_EEOC-Extends-Deadline.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.employco.com\/images\/newsletter\/HR\/Blog\/June2022_EEOC-Extends-Deadline-PDF.jpg\" alt=\"EEOC Extends EEO-1 Deadline for 2021 Workforce Data Reports\" width=\"300\" height=\"1553\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.employco.com\/PDFs\/June2022_Illinois-Amends-Requirements.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Illinois Amends Meal Period Requirements<\/a> &#8211; On May 13, 2022, Illinois adopted Senate Bill (SB) 3146 to amend meal break provisions of and create notification requirements under the Illinois One Day Rest In Seven Act (ODRISA). The amendments will become effective on Jan. 1, 2023.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.employco.com\/PDFs\/June2022_Illinois-Amends-Requirements.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.employco.com\/images\/newsletter\/HR\/Blog\/June2022_Illinois-Amends-Requirements-PDF.jpg\" alt=\"Illinois Amends Meal Period Requirements\" width=\"300\" height=\"1564\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.employco.com\/PDFs\/June2022_Chicago-Expands-Laws.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Chicago Expands Law Against Workplace Sexual Harassment<\/a> &#8211; Effective July 1, 2022, a new Chicago ordinance requires all employers to provide a written policy, post notices, and meet new training and other requirements related to workplace sexual harassment. The Chicago Commission on Human Rights (Commission) is expected to provide models employers may use to comply with these new requirements by the time they go into effect.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.employco.com\/PDFs\/June2022_Chicago-Expands-Laws.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.employco.com\/images\/newsletter\/HR\/Blog\/June2022_Chicago-Expands-Laws-PDF.jpg\" alt=\"Chicago Expands Law Against Workplace Sexual Harassment\" width=\"300\" height=\"1564\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.employco.com\/PDFs\/June2022_California-Employers.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">California Supreme Court Rules Employers Must Properly Pay Meal and Rest Period Premiums<\/a> &#8211; On May 23, 2022, in Naranjo v. Spectrum Security Services Inc.
