Currently, the law applies only to employers with at least 50 employees and only to service worker employees. However, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cga.ct.gov\/asp\/cgabillstatus\/cgabillstatus.asp?which_year=2024&amp;selBillType=Bill&amp;bill_num=5005\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">amendments<\/a> to the law passed in 2024 significantly expand the paid sick leave mandate, requiring leave for nearly all Connecticut workers by 2027. It also requires employers to notify employees that AI is being used.
