The OBBB Act includes changes for employee benefit plans, including provisions that:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Expand the availability of health savings accounts (HSAs);<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Permanently extend the telehealth exception for high deductible health plans (HDHPs);<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Increase the maximum annual limit for dependent care flexible spending accounts (FSAs);<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Allow employers to help pay employees\u2019 student loans beyond 2025 and make cost-of-living adjustments to the tax exclusion for educational assistance programs; and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Allow employers to contribute up to $2,500 per year to a new type of tax-advantaged account for children, called a &#8220;Trump Account.&#8221;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>Click the following link to read the entire legal update: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.employco.com\/PDFs\/July2025_Legal-Update.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The \u201cOne Big Beautiful Bill Act\u201d Includes Changes for Employee Benefits<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.employco.com\/PDFs\/July2025_Legal-Update.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\" noreferrer noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.employco.com\/images\/newsletter\/HR\/Blog\/July2025_Legal-Update-PDF.jpg\" alt=\"The \u201cOne Big Beautiful Bill Act\u201d Includes Changes for Employee Benefits\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The \u201cOne Big Beautiful Bill Act\u201d also includes a tax break for overtime and tips.&nbsp;Although the effective date for the change is January 1, 2025, the government has not yet announced any payroll processing changes that would immediately affect employees\u2019 take-home pay.
