Colorado Abigail Spanberger has signed into law a <a href=\"https:\/\/lis.virginia.gov\/bill-details\/20261\/HB5\/text\/HB5ER\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">bill<\/a> requiring employers to provide up to five days of paid sick leave (PSL) per year for employees to care for their own illness or an ill family member, or to take leave necessitated by domestic abuse, sexual assault, or stalking. Starting July 1, 2027, the paid leave requirement will be phased in over three years for successively smaller employers, until employers of all sizes are covered by 2029.
