{"id":827,"date":"2018-03-12T10:04:19","date_gmt":"2018-03-12T15:04:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.employco.com\/blog\/?p=827"},"modified":"2018-03-16T10:22:38","modified_gmt":"2018-03-16T15:22:38","slug":"313000-jobs-added-february-mean-average-american","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.employco.com\/blog\/2018\/03\/12\/313000-jobs-added-february-mean-average-american\/","title":{"rendered":"313,000 Jobs Added in February, But What Does that Mean for the Average American?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/www.employco.com\/images\/blog\/Blog_JobsReport_Feb18.png\" alt=\"Jobs\" width=\"630\" height=\"282\" \/><\/p>\n<p><em>Employment trends expert breaks down the numbers from Friday\u2019s jobs report <\/em><\/p>\n<p>After a pleasantly shocking jobs report on Friday, employment experts are now saying that the United States is at \u2018full employment.\u2019 But, what does this mean for Americans, and are the numbers really as good as they seem?<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFebruary\u2019s jobs report is a solid sign that our economy is getting stronger,\u201d says Rob Wilson, president of Employco USA and employment trends expert. \u201cNot only were 313,000 jobs added in a variety of low, middle, and high-wage industries, but we also saw an influx of hundreds of thousands of people rejoining the job market. This is huge news, as there had been fears that our workforce was depleted and that many Americans were simply opting to not seek employment.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>However, the employment expert explains that some people might be misled by the news that America is now at \u2018full employment.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFull employment does not mean that every American has a job,\u201d says Wilson. \u201cFull employment is a term that economists use to describe optimal employment, when unemployment is at the lowest possible level without causing an unhealthy rebound of inflation in which employers have to compete too intensely for workers and bump up wages too quickly.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In other words, our current economy is one that is optimal for both workers and employers.<\/p>\n<p>Wilson says, \u201c2018 is already off to an incredible start.
